Magnet is a modern grotesque with opportunistic contrast. Intended for display and editorial use such as posters, storefronts and magazines, some freedom in unconventional design solutions was taken.
The condensed Poster styles are the tallest and most outgoing of the typeface family. They include an upright, slanted and backslanted style, as well as matching underlined versions and decorative frames. There are also two less extreme, narrow Headline cuts in thin and bold. The Text style with its Italic is reasonably heavy to compete with the other family members which are not shy either.
Inga is a typographer, type and graphic designer.
She studied communication design and time-based media at University of Art in Braunschweig, Germany.
After concentrating on typography for a while, she realised that type design existed. This lead her to interning at good old FontFont and since then, designing type was her main interest of study.
At the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, one can definitely do that. After her year of Type and Media, she is now back in Berlin.
